IR 350

The IR350 stands out due to its high speed and high precision, its short inspection table ensures the machine has a small footprint, saving space in the production environment. The machine is fully configurable and retrofittable.

Multifunctionality
IR350 can function as an inspection unit or a slitter rewinder depending on the configuration. The unit can work offline as a separate machine or inline with a dancer arm. In inline mode, it is typically connected to a digital press.

There are many possible options for the machine:

  • razor blade system
  • label dispenser for production multi-layer labels or insertion warning labels printed in Braille
  • inkjet head – the printing system can print a report for each roll of labels, according to end-user requirements. Reverse printing is also possible when configured with a thermal inkjet module.

The web guide with ultrasonic sensor is fitted as standard and has a build-in splice table with two air controlled clamps.

200% Inspection
The system is bi-directional, which allows the users to back-up and re-check a defective label making sure the job is 100% perfect. The inspection camera system stops the machine when a fault has been detected and moves the faulty label back to the repair table. The system can be fitted with cameras from AVT, BST, Nikka, Nyquist Systems or other suppliers according to client requirements.

Easy operation
The machine has an easy to use the touchscreen for intuitive operation. It features step-less electronic tension on both unwind and rewind spindles. The rewinder is equipped with air expansion mandrels with sleeves, easily exchangeable to other sizes. It can be set at rewinding label-in or label-out.
